Colleen McClellan is a world traveler and born foodie with an insatiable curiosity. Her journey with food began working in restaurants and on to manufacturing, tech start-up, and consulting. She has over 17-years’ experience in marketing, insights, and innovation for both retail and foodservice markets. Throughout her career, she has worked to translate trends and insights into profitable actions across all food and beverage categories. Currently, Colleen is a Director with Datassential, a certified Sommelier, holds a MBA in International Business, MS in Managing Information Systems, and a BS in Neurobiology and Physiology.
Buyers will enter our Product Showcase, where each Supplier will be presenting their products for viewing/tasting/sampling.
Lee Smith, senior vice president, is the publisher of Deli Business and Cheese Connoisseur magazines. An award-winning writer as well as an accomplished photographer, she is a feature writer for both magazines.
Buyers will have chosen which Suppliers they wish to meet with and a meeting schedule will be set up for each Supplier and Buyer. These 20-minute meetings are a time to begin discussing the Buyer’s sourcing needs as well as production capabilities, product availability, delivery schedules, pricing, private labeling and even the development of programs. Suppliers are stationed at their own private sections and Buyers move from Supplier to Supplier. This allows Buyers to ask questions without interruption, making it easier to do business and resulting in more productive meetings.
